THE RITZ-CARLTON OPENS ITS FIRST MALDIVES RESORT
The Ritz-Carlton hotel has arrived in the Maldives, opening its first resort on Fari Islands in the northeastern tip of North Malé Atoll.
Featuring more than 100 on-water and beachfront villas, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands, is an unparalleled luxury destination. The hotel is a 10-minute seaplane ride (or 45 minute boat ride) from Velana International Airport, and offers a range of modern facilities and amenities, such as “aris meeha” (personal butlers), Maldivian cooking courses, cricket games and kids’ arts and crafts. Better still, you can take a dip with dolphins in the resort’s open waters, thanks to the work of the Ambassadors of the Environment Program.
Guests can choose a beachfront villa for easy access to the island’s white-sand beaches, or an on-water luxury pad that floats above the ocean. Private pools and indoor-outdoor showers are also included, as well as overwater hammocks and lounge areas. The resort’s nine-room spa sits atop a crystal-clear lagoon, formulating local ingredients into lavish treatments, from heated sand to freshly-picked coconuts and herbs.
Prices per night start at $1,500 USD for a one-bedroom villa and $4,400 USD for a two-bedroom, while the Ritz-Carlton Estate will cost you $22,500 USD.
